Hi Everyone

This weekend at the Rising Sun is a little quieter than usual.  Now I know we said this last week, this means that we can take a quick breather from what's been a pretty busy week or four.  And if we're honest, this comes as welcome relief as we can't keep up our maximum red-hot pace all the time!

However, we still find time to give you a little something, it’s on Saturday when THE SCARLET VIXENS present STARS OF THE STAGE

The Scarlet Vixens are back at their original home, with a burlesque and cabaret show not to be missed! This time they’re bringing you a night of burlesque and variety inspired from our favourite Broadway and West End shows! Just check out this glitzy line up of stage starlets!

MISS KITTY PIMMS - your compere

Tickets are £8 in advance and £12 on the door. Our VIP package is £17 and includes a glass of fizz on arrival and a guaranteed front row seat with table and nibbles. What are you waiting for? These shows sell out fast so be sure to get your tickets before it's too late!

That’s everything for another week, just to remind you that we are, as always, at 30 Silver Street, Reading, RG1 2ST (If you pop it into your satnav or Google, we shall magically appear!)

Hi Everyone

It really annoys me how people nowadays are always moaning on about how things were better in the old days.  Nobody ever complained in my day... hang on....

Hi Everyone

Did you know that I once made a replica nuclear submarine out of polystyrene.  It didn't go down very well
