This Weekend's Events (19th to 21st July)

Hi Everyone

"That'll put the cat amongst the pigeons" goes the tired old adage.  Well, I took my cat to Trafalgar Square last week, and she sat down, licked her fur, then ran across the road and in the process, nearly got run over by some Geraint Thomas wannabe on a Deliveroo.  I think it's time these so-called experts revisited the meanings of some of these well-worn sayings...

Anyway, a quick change of subject.  It's a quiet weekend this time around, but we do manage to bring you a helping of CLUB VELOCITY

The third Saturday of the month?  The third Saturday of the month at a certain venue in Reading? Surely that means another helping of one of the best band nights in town.  And this time, the powers that be at Velocity HQ bring forth the following box of delights

NOT FIT FOR HUMANS
The best band to come out of Slough.  Ever.

JULIET & THE RAGING ROMEOS
Great proper power bubblegum punk for the masses just like your mum used to bake

RED TAPE RESISTANCE
New Kids on The Reading Rock Block (so we're told)

We'll be open at 8pm.  And it'll cost you £5 in advance from www.wegottickets.com or slightly more than that on the night

That's everything for another week, just to remind you that we are, as always, at 30 Silver Street, Reading, RG1 2ST (If you pop it into your satnav or Google, we shall magically appear!)

(By the way, the Cat and I both returned to Reading unharmed)
