This Weekend's Events (12th to 14th December)

Hi Everyone

We appear to have reached the two week point in December.  As I speak somebody is rushing from the pub to the bookies so they can place an ill-advised bet on a white Christmas, Roy Wood and Noddy Holder are counting their royalties.  But it's not all doom and gloom, not only do I hear that Mariah Carey has gone down with a sore throat but it's also time for I, your humble narrator, to let you know what's happening at the Rising Sun this weekend...

There's just the one event for your delectation this time round, it's on Friday and it happens to be BIG UNTIDY VERSUS THE PANTO SEASON

Big Untidy's December offering is always NOT a Christmas Party but there's still bound to be a bit of Festive Cheer in the air.

This year they don't celebrate Christmas with Reading's own UFTON NERVET'S RAMSHACKLE UNSTRUNG BAND with support from Brighton's very own THE BANDANA COLLECTIVE plus, from Finland, our good friend MAEKKELAE returning to Big Untidy after a couple of years absence...and finally the genius that is Mr MICK SQUALOR who was last with us in June as part of the larger co-operative DINGUS KHAN

Now THAT'S a party!!

We'll be open at 8pm and all this non-festive exotica will set you back a mere £5 at the door.

That's everything for another weekend, just to remind you that you can find us at 30 Silver Street, Reading, RG1 2ST  (If you put us in your Google or Sat Nav, we shall magically appear)

Have a nice weekend!
